I opened Microsoft Word, set the font to Microsoft\u2019s Times New Roman, tabbed over to the default tab stop to enter the date \u201c18 August 1973,\u201d then typed the rest of the document purportedly from the personal records of the late Lieutenant Colonel Jerry B. Killian.<\/p>\n

And my Microsoft Word version, typed in 2004, is an exact match<\/em> for the documents trumpeted by CBS News<\/a> as \u201cauthentic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

National Public Radio does their best to rewrite history in this shockingly disingenuous piece on the Rathergate affair, told from Dan Rather\u2019s perspective as he openly states (and NPR doesn\u2019t challenge) that the memos in his infamous 60 Minutes II<\/em> piece were never proven to be fakes: Dan Rather Hopes To Tell His Bush Story In Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They never found a typewriter that could produce a match for those documents, and they never will \u2014 because such a typewriter does not exist. The documents were created in Microsoft Word and printed on a modern printer.<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s the simple, undeniable proof<\/a>, obvious to anyone with eyes and a brain that hasn\u2019t been warped by the dishonest media; our animated GIF alternating between the CBS version of the \u201c18 August 1973\u201d document, and the version we created in Microsoft Word using its default settings:<\/p>\n
